3.1 PHILLIP LIM FW2010 [Menswear]

Phillip Lim made his first men's runway show at New York Fashion Week and it was pretty darn good. The first looks were mostly black but with a wide range of textures. He also did some pretty kick-ass boots and knits with animal prints. Some of the pieces, like the boots and the leather gloves, reminded me of this movie that I saw the other day, The Phantom of the Paradise.

All my dreams are lost and I can't sleep. Sleep alone could ease my mind. All my tears are gone and I can't weep. Old emotions may they rest in peace and dream. Dream a bunch of friends. Rest in peace and dream. Dream it never ends. (From The Phantom of the Paradise)

Overall the collection was very smooth and with the right amount of edge. The brown leather jacket is probably my favorite look from the collection. Well, I also really love these futuristic sunglasses:
But I could never buy these, because if I did I would probably glue-gun them to may face and wear them everywhere I go. Although that doesn't sound so bad.

Welcome!

Welcome to Room for Blokes. This is my first attempt at blogging and I hope that anyone who reads this (probably no one) has a little bit of patience and compassion for me. Room for Blokes is my idea of a blog mainly on fashion, but infused with art, music, and wit. Enjoy and wish me luck!
